Description

FAPAC, the Federal Asian Pacific American Council, is a nonprofit organization founded in 1985. Representing both civilian and military Asian Pacific American employees in the Federal and District of Columbia governments, FAPAC serves as an interagency association for over thirty ethnically distinct groups. As the oldest and largest AAPI affinity group for federally employed Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, FAPAC is committed to promoting equal opportunity and cultural diversity within the government workforce.


FAPAC offers leadership training programs designed for all grades, from GS-5 to SES, aiming to encourage the participation and advancement of Asian Pacific Americans in government. With a vision to be a nationally recognized organization, FAPAC addresses the interests, issues, and representation of Asian Pacific Americans in various government levels, including Federal, State, County, City, and the District of Columbia. Additionally, FAPAC establishes partnerships with the public and private sectors in the communities it serves.


The FAPAC team consists of the National Board of Directors, who are elected every two years, and the National Board of Operations, which includes committees appointed by the President. As a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan organization, FAPAC is dedicated to supporting Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander employees in the federal and District of Columbia governments
