Family Connection-Communities In Schools of Athens (FC-CIS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been dedicated to serving at-risk students in Athens since 1992. Our mission is to ensure student success by bringing together schools, parents, and communities. In collaboration with over 200 communities across 27 states, we work closely with schools, social services, businesses, and volunteers to provide young people with the necessary resources to learn and grow.

These resources include mentors and tutors, after-school programs, and family services to help stabilize the home environment. We firmly believe that without these basic supports, children in need or at-risk are less likely to succeed and reach their full potential as productive adults. In every county in Georgia, Family Connection plays a crucial role in addressing the needs of children, youth, and families.
