Filling in the Blanks is a 501c3 charity based in Norwalk, Connecticut. Founded in May 2013 by Tina Kramer and Shawnee Knight, this volunteer-driven nonprofit fights childhood hunger by providing children in need with meals on the weekends. They serve children who are eligible for the free or reduced lunch program, as well as the A.

E. For just $10. 00 a weekend, each child receives a bag of non-perishable, easy-to-prepare food items and a fresh piece of fruit.

Shawnee Knight, Co-President/Co-Founder, is a passionate chef, community activist, and mother. Alongside Tina Kramer, Co-President/Co-Founder, and a member of various charitable boards and committees, they have rallied families and children in the community to raise funds and pack thousands of food bags for children in need. Filling in the Blanks now operates at over 100 sites throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties, delivering over two million weekend meals to children in low-income households.
