Food for People is a non-profit organization that serves as the official food bank for Humboldt County. Since 1979, they have been providing emergency food assistance to the community. Over the years, their operations have grown, and they now operate out of a 9,000 square foot warehouse in Eureka, California.

Their goal is to eliminate hunger and improve the health and well-being of the community by providing access to healthy and nutritious foods, community education, and advocacy. They offer a wide range of programs to address the needs of those experiencing hunger and food insecurity. These programs include the Choice Pantry, Pantry Network, Backpacks for Kids, Children's Summer Food Program, Senior Brown Bag, Mobile Produce Pantry, Free Produce Markets, CalFresh Outreach, Nutrition Education, and more.

Food for People also facilitates food drives, collaborates with local stores for food recovery, and engages volunteers in their mission.
