FoodStartup Indonesia is the first culinary creative economic capacity platform in Indonesia. This platform, curated by Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf, aims to connect culinary creative entrepreneurs with financing opportunities through conventional, syariah, profit-sharing, or equity-sharing loan schemes. Their goal is to accelerate the growth of the culinary creative economy in Indonesia.
FoodStartup Indonesia, initiated by Bekraf and Foodlab in 2016, has been organized by Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf and managed by Ultra since 2020. Although not a cash prize competition, FoodStartup Indonesia aims to provide culinary creative entrepreneurs access to funding, thereby facilitating the acceleration of their economic growth. The platform showcases a diverse range of food businesses that have participated in past editions, including Matchamu, Ladang Lima, Chilli Bag, Ripta Food, Tempe Krezi, Rosalie Cheese, La Dame in Vanilla, Ppuff!, Tema, Kato Prospero, Eggy, Hejoo Vilo, and Grouu.
FoodStartup Indonesia 2022 collaborates with the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) and will host the Demoday event alongside the AVPN Global Conference 2022, the largest annual social investment gathering in Asia
