GEMS53 is a brand that emerged from the merger of two associations, Lancheneil and Ionesco, on January 1, 2017. Formerly known as Groupement d’Établissements Medico-Sociaux 53, GEMS53 now caters to 157 individuals referred by MDA who have mental or psychological disabilities. Their mission is to uplift each individual through learning, work, and social interaction within their various structures.

GEMS53 offers a range of services and activities, including ESAT (Etablissement et Service d'Aide par le Travail), Centre d’Accueil de Jour (CAJ), foyers d’hébergement, and foyers de vie. They also provide services to businesses such as cocktails and receptions, electronic subcontracting, industrial subcontracting, and laundry services. Keeping in mind their commitment to social well-being, GEMS53 actively participates in charitable initiatives.

Recent activities include their involvement in the national art and charity project Origami for Life and their support for the wildlife affected by the devastating Australian bushfires.
