Generation One Academy is a non-profit, Christian-based organization located in Houston’s historic Third Ward. Our mission is to champion strategic change in the education system, specifically in early childhood education. With over 15 years of operation, we have been dedicated to empowering children and families to reach their full potential.

At Generation One, we offer a range of programs and services aimed at creating an equitable education landscape for children from all backgrounds. We provide quality early education, engaging after-school programming, and family support to proactively help children and families thrive. What sets us apart is our holistic approach to child-centered development, which involves engaging the whole family and community.

We address the special needs of low-income children through a trauma-informed approach, creating a therapeutic environment focused on building resilience in families. Through our efforts, over 90 students are enrolled in the Generation One Academy and Next Gen after-school and summer programs. We have also partnered with over 50 groups, organizations, and businesses to provide tutoring, mentoring, courses, and meals to support our education and training programs.
