About
Description
GAIN, short for Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and empowering immigrant survivors of crime and persecution. Established in 2005 as the Atlanta Asylum Bar Project, GAIN was created to address the lack of representation for asylum-seekers in one of the toughest immigration courts in the country. Over the years, GAIN has expanded its legal programming to include immigrant survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, sexual assault, and other crimes through its Victims of Violence program.
Through these flagship programs, GAIN strives to ensure access to justice for vulnerable immigrants and advocates for safety, freedom, and opportunity for all. Having helped over 5,000 individuals and provided more than $15 million in pro bono legal services, GAIN has made a significant impact on the lives of immigrants in need. Their mission is to provide high-quality pro bono representation and support to those seeking refuge in the United States.
