Through project-based learning, real-world problem-solving, and service learning, we introduce GIS to K-12 students, particularly middle schoolers, to help them discover a future career track. High school students can later enroll in our GIS course, ultimately obtaining a GIS IBC (Industry-Based Certification). Our program is accredited by the industry and equips students with the necessary tools to excel in workforce development and compete in a global job market.

Fran Harvey, our esteemed Managing Director, has spearheaded our efforts to provide cutting-edge science and technology education to students. Under her leadership, we have successfully reached out to 35 school districts and trained numerous teachers in GIS applications. Our educational outreach has enabled schools to utilize the ArcGIS online software at no cost.

Witnessing students' natural affinity for GIS, Harvey has committed to incorporating it into high school curriculum, resulting in the establishment of Global Geospatial Institute as the sole entity approved to offer a GIS IBC to high school students in Louisiana.
