GirlBoss New Zealand is the leading network for young women in New Zealand. With a mission to close the gender gap in Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, Leadership, and Entrepreneurship, GirlBoss empowers confident and future-ready young women to lead and change the world. Founded in late 2015 by Alexia Hilbertidou, who herself experienced isolation growing up as a teenager in Auckland, GirlBoss has grown into a network of 17,500 high school-aged members nationwide.

Their programs have been implemented in over 100 schools across New Zealand, Australia, and The Cook Islands. At GirlBoss, they believe that solving the gender gap is a collective effort. They work with over 100 high schools each year, running workshops and summits to empower young women.

They also bring high school-aged young women into the workplace for a 5-day rapid-fire corporate internship, creating opportunities for authentic brand loyalty and building the talent pipeline. Additionally, GirlBoss offers New Zealand's most comprehensive online career accelerator, providing digital resources and mentorship to over 3,200 young women. Through initiatives like the GirlBoss Awards and the We the Women Hackfest, GirlBoss recognizes and supports trailblazing young women, fostering collaboration, and empowering them to solve real-world problems.

With a strong impact on 40,000 students, 17,500 members, and over 1,000 corporate volunteers, GirlBoss is making a significant difference in the lives of young women across New Zealand.
