As a 501(c)3 organization, they operate 14 retail thrift stores across a 35 county area, with the aim of empowering individuals, improving their lives, and contributing to the growth of communities. The organization's story began when Ray King partnered with local leaders to establish Goodwill for his son Brian, who had a barrier.

Since then, Goodwill West Texas has been committed to offering job training and employment services to individuals who face challenges in finding employment.
