Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale is a charitable nonprofit organization dedicated to the planning, programming, beautification, and promotion of Riverwalk Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Comprised mainly of volunteer private citizens and overseen by a board of directors, our mission is to be the catalyst in building and nurturing a vibrant community connected by the New River. Through our informative website, GoRiverwalk magazine, and social media presence, we engage with the public, raise funds, and advocate for the park and the district.

Our organization's origins lie with the City of Fort Lauderdale, which established Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale in December 1988 to support park design and fundraising efforts. Over the years, we have secured a regional park designation from Broward County, influenced redevelopment and park expansion efforts, and contributed to enhancing the downtown core through collaboration with the City, County, and other important partners in the public and private sectors. By organizing events and activities, we strive to contribute to the development and growth of our linear park and downtown Riverwalk District, benefiting both the park and the city as a whole
