About

Description

Great Lakes Recovery Centers (GLRC) is a non-profit CARF accredited agency dedicated to providing top-quality substance abuse and mental health treatment services to youth, families, and adults. With a team of certified counselors and licensed professionals, GLRC operates in numerous communities across Michigan's picturesque Upper Peninsula. At GLRC, our mission is to empower recovery through hope and change.

We believe that chemical dependency, whether it's alcohol or other drug addiction, affects not only individuals but also their families and communities. That's why we offer a comprehensive range of services that involve the individual, family, and community to address and treat this illness effectively. Our history dates back to the mid-1970s when the Nu-Way Halfway House for Men and the Joan Curto Halfway House for Women were established in Marquette, MI.

Over the years, these houses underwent changes, merging and forming what is today known as Adult Residential Services (ARS). With the addition of the Shiloh House for Youth, GLRC expanded its services and became a pioneer in youth treatment in Michigan. Since then, GLRC has grown and evolved, opening outpatient services in multiple locations and merging with Dickinson-Iron Substance Abuse Services.

Our commitment to providing quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities remains unwavering. Contact the GLRC Access Center at (906) 228-9696 to discover how our clinical and community services can support your journey towards recovery
