Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area is a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing communities together to build homes, communities, and hope. Our mission is to put God's love into action by providing safe and affordable housing for families in need. We don't just build houses for families; we believe in creating partnerships.

We work with families who demonstrate a need for housing, have the ability to pay a mortgage, and are willing to contribute to the construction of their own home. In this partnership, our community supporters join future homeowners by providing financial and in-kind support for construction supplies and materials. Our homeowners also invest hundreds of hours of their own labor, known as sweat equity, into building their Habitat house.

Once their home is complete, they repay an affordable loan. As a local affiliate, we are proud to be part of the global Habitat for Humanity organization, which has helped millions of people worldwide find access to safe and affordable shelter. We are committed to furthering Habitat for Humanity International's mission to eliminate poverty housing globally.

Our affiliate tithes 10% of its revenue to build affordable housing opportunities in Nicaragua, Mexico, and Ethiopia. At Habitat for Humanity Greater Fresno Area, we have a vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
