Lakeland Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing decent and affordable housing to those in need. Founded in 1990, Lakeland Habitat for Humanity works tirelessly to eliminate substandard housing in Lakeland and its surrounding areas. Partnering with families in need, Lakeland Habitat for Humanity builds simple and decent homes, which are then sold to the partner families at no profit and with no interest charged.

The families also contribute hundreds of hours of their own labor into building not only their own homes but also the homes of others, creating a true sense of community. In addition to building homes, Lakeland Habitat for Humanity has made a significant impact through its Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative. This initiative has completed 336 home repairs for Veterans, elderly, and low-income homeowners, as well as providing 82 Veterans with essential home repairs.

Furthermore, Lakeland Habitat for Humanity has built 300 ramps for physically disabled homeowners, ensuring safe and accessible living environments. By promoting dignity and hope for all, Lakeland Habitat for Humanity is transforming lives and communities, one home at a time
