The brand offers its services in several Indian languages, including Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Nepali, Punjabi, Odia, Sanskrit, Tamil, and Telugu.

Founded in 2013 by Suresh Bazaj, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur, Hear2Read aims to empower visually impaired individuals by addressing the limitations they face in education and employment opportunities. Bazaj's personal experience and exposure to the challenges faced by visually impaired students in India inspired him to create a technology-based solution. He collaborated with experts from Carnegie Mellon University's Language Technologies Institute to bring his vision to life.
