Homes for the Brave is a compassionate and dedicated brand that has been providing essential support to individuals experiencing homelessness since 2002. Through their various programs, Homes for the Brave offers not only safe housing, but also crucial vocational training and life skills coaching to help individuals leave homelessness behind. With a strong focus on serving Veterans, Homes for the Brave has worked with over 1,500 men and women, providing them with the assistance they need to rebuild their lives. Among their programs are Homes for the Brave, Waldorf House, Homes for the Brave – West Haven, and Female Soldiers: Forgotten Heroes - Connecticut's first and only transitional housing program exclusively for homeless female Veterans and their children. The need for housing programs and support services like Homes for the Brave is evident, with 40,000 United States Veterans finding themselves homeless on any given night, and another 1.4 million at risk of homelessness. By joining forces with the community, Homes for the Brave continues their mission of helping Connecticut's Veterans and other individuals experiencing homelessness to achieve meaningful and productive lives.
