About

Description

Westland Bunker is not your ordinary data center. With a fascinating history dating back to its construction in 1982, this state-of-the-art facility has an intriguing past. Originally built by Louis Kung, the nephew of Madam Chang Kai Shek, the complex was designed to serve as the headquarters for Westland Oil, while also housing a 40,000 square foot nuclear bomb shelter.

Built with secrecy and protected by armed guards, the bunker was equipped to accommodate 350 adults for up to three months, complete with its own generators, air filtration system, water wells, decontamination showers, and even a full surgical suite. Today, the 40,000 square foot nuclear bomb shelter has been transformed into a cutting-edge data center, offering secure colocation of critical IT operations. The adjacent four-story office building serves as a business continuity and disaster recovery center.

With a strong commitment to growth and continuous improvement, Westland Bunker has expanded its facilities to become one of the premier technology centers in the nation. The facility has proven its resilience, boasting zero-downtime performance even during hurricane Ike. As a financially sound private company, Westland Bunker is dedicated to providing exceptional results and quality service.

With a team of highly skilled professionals and a passion for excellence, they are well-equipped to meet and exceed all your colocation, business continuity, and managed services needs. Discover the unique and secure environment that Westland Bunker offers and entrust your critical IT operations with confidence
