I Am A Queen is a dynamic youth development nonprofit based in Greensboro, N. C. Allen.

Alana, a passionate community activist and nonprofit leader, is dedicated to empowering girls and women to break free from the chains of rejection, defeat, and pain. With a degree in journalism and mass communications, Alana has spent 16 years as a public relations professional, including serving as deputy press secretary for the first female Governor of North Carolina. The heart of I Am A Queen lies in its year-round mentoring program for girls aged 10-18.

This program focuses on building self-esteem and leadership skills, providing them with the tools to become strong, confident, and empowered individuals. Additionally, the nonprofit encourages participants to give back to their community through charitable endeavors. Since its establishment, I Am A Queen has positively impacted the lives of over 17,000 people in North Carolina through mentoring and annual community outreach events.

Alana's dedication and leadership have earned her recognition, including being named among Triad Business Journal's 40 Leaders Under 40 and receiving the AC Stowe Lifetime Achievement Award. Through I Am A Queen, Alana V. Allen is breaking barriers and empowering the next generation of Queens.
