Missing the flavors of home, he recreated some of his favorite dishes, including an authentic pita bread recipe passed down through generations. In 1972, Joseph's Bakery was founded to meet the growing demand for their portable sandwich pockets.

Soon, their bread became a grocery store staple in New England. Over the years, Joseph's Bakery continued to expand its product line, adding lavash, tortillas, wraps, pancakes, pizza dough, and flatbread, all available in various grain styles from Whole Wheat to Flax, Oat Bran & Whole Wheat. The brand underwent a brand evolution to stay current while remaining true to their heritage, culminating in a fresh new look that represents their core values of freshness, authenticity, and health.

Today, Joseph's Bakery operates from a state-of-the-art facility in Lawrence, Massachusetts. As a majority women-owned business, the brand is led by the third generation of the Boghos family, supported by a dedicated team of over 300 employees.
