JUNTOS Collective is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that uses the power of dance to foster leadership and collaboration in vulnerable communities. We offer free dance workshops and performances led by professional and pre-professional dance volunteers, both nationally and internationally. Our collaborative efforts extend to various organizations, including orphanages, homeless shelters, public hospitals, and more.

Founded in 2008 by Joanna Poz-Molesky, an Ailey/Fordham BFA student, JUNTOS initially started as a one-time international trip to Mexico. However, it quickly evolved into an organization that bridges performance, community outreach, and intercultural exchange. Today, JUNTOS runs six volunteer programs, ranging from one-day outreach opportunities to year-long leadership initiatives.

Each year, our organization expands its reach, involving more dance volunteers, collaborators, and workshops. Our mission is to cultivate an international community through shared dance experiences. By primarily working with Latin-American based organizations, we inspire confidence, self-esteem, and collaboration through the art of movement.

Our vision is to provide participants with the tools to explore their creative expression in a safe space that fosters individuality, diversity, and unity. We strive to develop globally-aware, service-oriented leaders and offer dance exposure to underserved Latinx communities. Through movement workshops, we aim to empower participants to discover new creative expressions and nurture confidence and self-expression.

We also focus on fostering ongoing relationships with diverse backgrounds, building a network of creative leaders. To date, JUNTOS has collaborated with various organizations in Boston, New York, San Francisco/Northern CA, as well as in Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, and Nicaragua.
