The Kasanka Baboon Research Project is a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to study and protect the little-known Kinda baboon species. Alongside this, they also aim to provide science education opportunities to communities, empower young women, and raise awareness about wildlife conservation. In the rural Zambian community, where they operate, the project focuses on empowering and educating the local population, with a special emphasis on girls and women.

Additionally, the project works towards reducing the threat of poaching in Kasanka National Park through education and direct action. As a long-term field site, the Kasanka Baboon Research Project is dedicated to advancing scientific understanding of baboons while actively engaging with the community and advocating for wildlife conservation.
