We are also a part of the Safe Haven program, offering a secure drop-off point for parents considering infant abandonment. In addition to emergency response, KCKFD actively engages in fire prevention initiatives. Our employees conduct fire safety training programs for students, families, and senior citizens to increase awareness and educate on proper fire safety skills.

We also conduct a yearly fire safety contest, recognizing winners who submit home escape plans and ensuring each household is equipped with functioning smoke detectors. Furthermore, KCKFD's partnership with Vibrant Health allows us to offer the innovative WYCO Care Connect program. This community paramedicine program aims to reduce non-emergent emergency medical service usage, thereby relieving strain on the local health system and improving patient care.
