Kintampo Health Research Centre (KHRC) is an established African-based research center dedicated to providing African solutions to African health challenges. With a focus on clinical trial and intervention research, environmental health research, family health research, operational and implementation research, as well as malaria and neglected tropical disease research, KHRC is at the forefront of addressing critical public health issues. Currently, the center has over 15 ongoing projects and has completed more than 230 projects, with a publication record of 3260+ papers.

Notably, KHRC is involved in the development of a first-generation malaria vaccine, dementia diagnostic validation study, and the Kintampo Health Demographic Surveillance System. Recently, the center has been recognized for its outstanding work, with Ms. Dorcas Atibilla being honored at the 14th L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Young Talents Sub-Saharan Africa Awards.
