KOA Biotech is a revolutionary brand that is transforming microbiological testing in fish farms to reduce fish mortality caused by pathogenic infections. With our digital, autonomous, and on-site testing technology, we aim to revolutionize fish health and fish farm economics while minimizing the environmental impact worldwide. Traditionally, testing technology involved shipping water samples to labs, resulting in a lengthy 5 to 10-day wait for results.

However, our innovative onsite testing kits continuously monitor potentially harmful bacteria in the water and generate early warning alerts to prevent infections. We are a spinoff from the University of Pompeu Fabra, founded by a group of passionate PhDs in Biology. Currently, we have two live tests running with satisfied customers, and we have eight additional LOIs (Letters of Intent) lined up to go live within the next three months.
