KYDS Inc., based in Los Angeles, CA, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering under-served, low-income, and at-risk youth. Their mission is to help young individuals fulfill their potential by actively participating in the community. Through collaborative efforts with community service providers, government officials, schools, law enforcement, private businesses, and caring individuals, KYDS exposes students to enriching educational opportunities.

Established in 1989, KYDS, also known as Keep Youth Doing Something Inc., started as a community-led initiative to revitalize a city park plagued by drug and gang-related issues. By partnering with local law enforcement and the city council, they successfully cleaned up the park and introduced free evening sports leagues for children and teens. Over time, KYDS has expanded its offerings, thanks to the support of generous partners.

Today, they provide a range of quality programs and services, free of charge, to economically struggling families and their children. KYDS serves students from grades TK to 12th, ranging from ages 4 to 18+. Their programs create safe havens where young people can develop caring relationships with their peers and responsible adults.

By offering a variety of options, KYDS helps children and teens experience new successes and broaden their perspective of possibilities. With a focus on keeping young individuals safe and engaged during after-school hours, KYDS enables parents to work knowing that their children are in a secure and nurturing environment.
