La Casa, Inc. As the sole provider of services in Doña Ana County, La Casa plays a vital role in addressing the high incidence of domestic violence in the area. With a mission to support everyone affected by domestic violence and a vision of a just and safe community free from violence and abuse, La Casa offers comprehensive and community-based services.

These include emergency shelter, supportive services, civil legal services, transitional housing, immigration services, children and youth programs, rural outreach, offender services, and more. Since its founding in 1981, La Casa has grown to become one of the largest providers of domestic violence services in the state of New Mexico. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality, relevant, and impactful services.

They operate a safe and spacious emergency shelter facility that accommodates up to 90 individuals at any given time. La Casa welcomes all survivors of domestic violence, regardless of race, religion, nationality, gender, age, or other factors. The organization is funded by donations, and 85 cents of every dollar contributed go directly towards providing essential services to families in need.
