As the Director of Substance Abuse Programs at Beacon of Hope and the Urban Trauma Counseling Center, they provide crucial support and guidance to those in need. Dr. L.

A. McCrae is a lifelong learner and is currently pursuing their third doctoral program at Morgan State University, specializing in socio-behavioral epidemiology and the socio-political determinants of incarceration and emergent wellness. Their research delves into the interconnectedness of trauma, addiction, and incarceration, with a particular focus on the well-being of justice-involved Black women.
