Lazy Hiker Brewing is a craft brewery that has been serving up exceptional beer and fostering community since 2015. Situated in Franklin, North Carolina, our brewery occupies the historic town hall and fire department building, offering a welcoming taproom, a charming outdoor patio, disc golf, and an event space. In 2019, we expanded our reach by opening a second taproom in beautiful downtown Sylva, NC, along with the Mad Batter Kitchen, a game lounge, and another outdoor patio.

Our mission is to create a warm and inviting gathering place where locals and visitors can unwind, connect with others, and relish in the enchanting mountain region. Of course, our primary focus is brewing marvelous beer. You can find our diverse selection of beers on tap and in cans across 38 western counties of North Carolina and 37 northeast counties of Georgia.

If you happen to be passing through Franklin, Sylva, or hiking along the Appalachian Trail nearby, we encourage you to pay us a visit. Grab a delicious bite from the food truck, catch a glimpse of our impressive 15-barrel brewhouse, and experience the passion we pour into every batch of beer. At Lazy Hiker Brewing, our brewing process begins with milling the grain, followed by combining it with water to extract the sugars.

After boiling and adding hops, the liquid undergoes fermentation, conditioning, and packaging, resulting in exceptional beer. This meticulous process takes 3-4 weeks for each beer. And while we are meticulous about our beer, we are equally committed to cleanliness and maintaining the highest standards in our facilities.

We have two taprooms to serve you, one in Franklin at 188 W. Main St. Our hours vary, but we're open late, so drop by and relax with an ice-cold Lazy Hiker beer.

In terms of distribution, we partner with Skyland Distributing for the 38 westernmost counties of North Carolina and Northeast Sales and Distributing for the 37 northeastern counties of Georgia.
