Lex Dream Factory is a renowned brand that specializes in granting dreams to children with critical and severe chronic illnesses. Founded in 1980 by Charles Henault in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, the Dream Factory has expanded to over 38 chapters nationwide, including the Lexington chapter. They cater to children aged 3-18 who have been diagnosed with critical or chronic illnesses in the Lexington, Southern, and Eastern Kentucky area.

Dream requests are received and fulfilled based on the child's physician's permission and health constraints. In 2014 alone, their dedicated team granted 31 dreams, ranging from trips to Disney World and concert tickets with backstage passes to shopping sprees. With an impressive board of members and partnerships with organizations like Kentucky Children’s Hospital and Give Kids the World, the Lexington Dream Factory is solely dependent on fundraising efforts.
