The Arc of Litchfield County (LARC) is a brand that was founded 50 years ago by families who wanted to provide support to their loved ones with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With a vision of Community for All, LARC focuses on individual empowerment, choice, respect, and dignity. LARC offers a wide range of services to 200 individuals in Northwest Connecticut.
These services include residential group homes, in-home supports, transportation, day programs, Autism Resource Center, Project SEARCH, and employment programs. Additionally, LARC's Social Enrichment program provides critical respite and recreational opportunities for 120 individuals, such as group outings and Special Olympics. LARC also offers person-centered planning, vocational training and placement, financial management, and advocacy services.
