Local Grown Salads, launched in 2013, is an innovative Agriculture and Technology company based in Toronto, Ontario. Our mission is to make farming in urban settings easier than ever before through our line of self-contained farming units. We cultivate and package our own produce, catering to commercial, restaurant, and retail clients.

What sets us apart is our fully integrated indoor/vertical growing technology, designed and patented in-house. This allows us to grow, harvest, and package our leafy green salads in the same facility, maximizing taste, nutrition, food safety, and sustainability. Our growing centers are strategically located within 20 minutes of the dinner plate, ensuring optimal freshness.

Each growing room consists of specialized growing units that provide precise environmental conditions tailored to the specific vegetable variety being grown. Our environmentally sustainable system recycles all water and nutrients, creating a closed-loop system. Led by entrepreneur Zale Tabakman, Local Grown Salads is dedicated to feeding the world with delicious and healthy food, reducing carbon footprints, and promoting local, indoor, and vertical farming practices.
