Lakes Region Community Services (LRCS) has been dedicated to providing support and services to the residents of the Lakes Region and their families since 1975. They specialize in assisting individuals living with developmental disabilities or acquired brain disorders, as well as offering critical services to the aging population and those with chronic illnesses. LRCS offers a wide range of services tailored to different age groups.

For children, they provide early supports and services, in-home supports, and programs through their Autism Center. Adults can benefit from employment services, self-directed services, shared family living, and resource coordination. Additionally, LRCS operates the Family Resource Center of Central New Hampshire, which offers programs, resources, activities, and support for families throughout the Lakes Region.

To determine eligibility for their services, interested individuals can reach out to LRCS's intake coordinators. While there is generally a waiting list for services, early supports and services for children under three years old are typically available without delay. LRCS receives funding from federal and state funds, grants, and private donations.

They are a registered non-profit organization and employ over 375 people across their offices in Laconia and Plymouth. If individuals have any complaints or concerns, LRCS encourages them to first contact the program director for resolution
