Luiza Marcier is a renowned fashion designer based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With 42 years of experience in the industry, Luiza Marcier combines the art of creating clothing with profound thinking and analysis. She holds a Master's degree in Design from PUC Rio and is currently pursuing a PhD in Communication and Culture from ECO UFRJ.

Throughout her career, Luiza Marcier has developed over 20 collections, initially for the brand À Colecionadora and now for her own brand. She is also highly regarded as a costume designer, having worked on various projects in film, theater, and music since 1995. Her most recent work includes creating costumes for the Musical Pré-Fabricado | Los Hermanos, directed by Michel Melamed and set to release in 2023.

Beyond her creative endeavors, Luiza Marcier has actively contributed to the fashion industry through roles such as fashion consultant for the FIRJAN Art-Indústria Project and director of the Fashion Museum Project at the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat for Culture. Furthermore, Luiza Marcier is a professor at the Department of Arts and Design at PUC-Rio, where she nurtures young talents and supervises projects focused on redefining fashion practices and exploring its theory and history. Passionate about creating platforms that blend fashion, art, and carnival, she is one of the organizers of Saturnalia.
