Mama Foundation offers a variety of programs, including enrichment, community performances, and access to professional training and experience in the musical and theatrical field. By holding space for an intergenerational community to connect and share themselves through music, Mama Foundation becomes a catalyst for positive community transformation and collective healing. With a history of producing hit shows like Mama I Want to Sing, Mama Foundation has become a household name in the world of musical theater. They have also embarked on national and international tours, captivating audiences worldwide. Driven by a commitment to reestablish Harlem as an artistic and cultural centerpiece, Mama Foundation has renovated their brownstone on 126th Street and initiated the Gospel at the Brownstone program.


Additionally, their Gospel for Teens program, featured on 60 Minutes, has garnered two Emmy Awards. Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, Mama Foundation has transitioned their programming online and remains dedicated to their mission. They are actively engaged in partnering with the Black Lives Matter movement and have launched the Access to Opportunities initiative.
