About

Description

Manitoba Eco-Network (MbEN) is a public interest environmental organization located on the ancestral lands of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis Nation. Since 1988, they have been dedicated to promoting positive environmental action by supporting individuals and groups within the community. MbEN focuses on policy advocacy, engaging in consultation processes, and developing capacity building tools for the environmental non-profit sector and member groups.

Their mission is to facilitate good environmental governance and protect Manitoba's environment for present and future generations. The organization conducts community-based research, advocates for meaningful public participation in environmental governance processes, and promotes access to environmental justice. Their activities align with two primary charitable objectives: raising awareness about environmental conservation and enhancement, and encouraging similar organizations across Canada.

Contact MbEN at their new office located at 302 - 583 Ellice Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3B 1Z7, or reach out to them via email at info@mbeconetwork. org
