MCR Pathways is a national, award-winning mentoring program that aims to provide equal educational outcomes, career opportunities, and life chances for care-experienced young people and those who have experienced disadvantage. Founded in 2007, MCR seeks to bridge the gap in life chances and educational outcomes between these young people and their peers. Their school-based mentoring program matches young individuals with fully-trained volunteer mentors who support and guide them towards realizing their full potential through education.

What started as a program at St Andrew's Secondary school has now expanded to multiple localities nationwide. MCR Pathways has received numerous awards and accolades for its impactful work, with evidence showing that their mentoring program has made a significant difference in improving confidence, engagement with school, and post-school destinations. By spending just one hour a week with a mentor, young individuals are empowered to unlock their hidden potential.
