MEGA Materials is an Innovative Startup and a spin-off of Pisa University, specializing in the growth of high-purity fluoride crystals. Our crystals find applications in solid-state lasers, optical cryo-coolers, metrology, energy, and communication. We offer an extensive range of products, including bulk CZ crystals and single crystal fibers.

Our CZ crystals are produced using the Czochralski (CZ) technique, ensuring high homogeneity, exceptional optical quality, and purity. The main products in our portfolio include LiF, MgF2, YLF, LLF, GLF, BYF, and KYF, among others. Additionally, we provide high-quality single crystal fibers of rare-earth-doped fluorides, grown using micro pulling-down techniques.

Our crystal fibers are known for their small diameters, which cannot be achieved through mechanical processing. Moreover, our crystals can be doped with a wide array of rare-earth ions, enabling various applications such as UV lasers, tunable visible lasers, IR lasers, and more. MEGA Materials also offers design and development services for solid-state lasers, optical systems, and custom applications.

We provide crystal orientation, cutting, polishing, and polarized UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy services as well.
