About

Description

Mobballet, launched in 2015, is a digital platform dedicated to preserving and promoting the contributions and stories of Black artists in the field of ballet. With the firm belief that these artists are an integral part of dance history at large, Mobballet aims to illuminate the lesser-known history and legacies of international professional Black ballet artists. The brand compiles this rich history in one online location, serving as a digital museum of ballet.

Mobballet offers an expansive historical timeline and roll call, showcasing archival data, oral histories, and written works. The brand also produces mini-documentaries that capture the artistry and humanity of Black ballet dancers, along with curating online installations. In addition, Mobballet facilitates stimulating conversations about race, diversity, equity, inclusion, and art within the dance community, while providing a platform and network for emerging dancers, educators, and choreographers.

By producing high-quality, inspiring, and accessible content, Mobballet ensures that these important legacies remain alive and celebrated
