Mobile Life was a VINN Excellence Centre that conducted research in the field of mobile services. Established in 2007 and operating until March 2017, the Centre was a joint venture between research partners, industrial partners, and public sector partners, with funding from the Swedish governmental funding agency VINNOVA. With a focus on design-led exploration of novel technology, Mobile Life aimed to create an enjoyment society where happiness, pleasure, and playfulness were central.

The Centre conducted interdisciplinary research involving computer science, interaction design, sociology, psychology, game design, art, dance, and fashion. It collaboratively created and evaluated enjoyment services to realize this vision. With strategic innovation, Mobile Life became internationally recognized and hosted around 46 researchers.

It had partnerships with renowned companies such as Ericsson, Microsoft Research, IKEA, ABB, Nokia, and more. The Centre also received support from STING and Kista Science City for its innovations and spin-offs. Mobile Life takes pride in its collaborations and looks forward to future projects.
