Middle Tennessee Council, Boy Scouts of America is dedicated to preparing young people for a lifetime of ethical and moral decision-making. By instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law, they aim to develop their character and help them become responsible individuals. The council's vision is to foster character development, citizenship training, and physical fitness through outdoor program experiences.

Middle Tennessee Council offers five distinct Scouting programs for youth aged 6-21. These include Cub Scouting for ages 5-10, Scouts BSA for ages 11-18, STEM Scouts for grades 3-12, Venturing for ages 14-21, and Exploring for ages 14-21. Each program utilizes unique methods of youth development, focusing on leadership, community service, self-reliance, and a duty to God and Country.

The council serves a large number of youth, with over 12,000 participants in 2022 alone. It is also the 13th largest council in the country out of 248. With a dedicated team of trained adult volunteer mentors, the Scouting programs are neighborhood-centered and provide a positive impact on the youth of Tennessee.

In addition to their programs, Middle Tennessee Council owns and operates four camping facilities that offer various outdoor experiences to Scouts and their families. They also prioritize community service, with Scouts and leaders recording over 20,000 hours of service annually, contributing to an investment of over $600,000 in local communities.
