About
Description
MCRCC, the Monterey County Rape Crisis Center, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing ongoing advocacy, support, and healing for all victims and survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse. Their mission is to prevent sexual violence in the community through education. MCRCC envisions a community in which all individuals treat each other with respect and feel empowered to make safe and healthy choices to end sexual violence.
The center serves people of all races, cultures, religions, incomes, and political affiliations who have been impacted by sexual assault, child abuse, and human trafficking. MCRCC offers comprehensive services to survivors and their significant others, including seniors, children, monolingual Spanish speakers, individuals experiencing homelessness, transgender and queer individuals, and people with disabilities. They believe in the survivor's right to heal on their own terms and ensure their services are available whenever the survivor is ready, no matter the timeframe.
Since its establishment in 1973, MCRCC has expanded its services to cover the entirety of Monterey County. As a nonprofit organization, they rely on donations to continue their important work. Visit their website to learn more and contribute
