NAAF (Native American Advancement Foundation) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement and preservation of the Tohono O’odham Nation, a federally-recognized tribe with approximately 28,000 members in Southwestern Arizona. With a deep respect for their ancestors and their traditional way of life, NAAF aims to bridge the gap between the past and the present. At the core of NAAF's mission is the guiding life principle known as himdag, which emphasizes the interconnectedness and sacredness of all things.

NAAF believes that by honoring their ancestors, preserving traditional ceremonies, and maintaining a harmonious relationship with the land, they can ensure the well-being of future generations. Through community involvement and the support of dedicated leaders, NAAF provides resources and educational opportunities to instill the value of himdag in the younger generation. By revitalizing their lifeways, NAAF aims to unify and strengthen the Tohono O’odham Nation.
