NanoVelos is a dynamic bio-medical start-up based in Warsaw, specializing in drug delivery systems. Our team, which consists of experienced chemists, biotechnology experts, and specialists in nanotechnology, is dedicated to combining the power of chemistry and biology in the fight against cancer. Our flagship product is the dextran drug delivery system, which was first developed at the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology.

These nanoparticles are produced from various polysaccharides without the use of toxic substances or metal particles. They can serve as drug carriers with a pH-dependent drug bond, allowing for the targeted release of drugs solely within cancer cells. We are constantly expanding our portfolio of dextran-drug conjugates and exploring new areas of interest, such as drug formulation development for lubrication of joints or sinusitis treatment.

Our technology, based on polysaccharide nanoparticles, is an original solution patented by NanoVelos SA. We also prioritize preclinical and clinical studies to ensure the safety and efficacy of our products. Our preclinical studies, conducted under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) rules, involve screening tests, in-vitro and in-vivo studies, pharmacokinetics, and toxicity tests on animal models.

These studies provide the basis for further clinical trials, where we evaluate the safety and effectiveness of our treatments on human volunteers.
