About

Description

NASTT is an engineering society that believes in the practical, social, and environmental benefits of trenchless technology. With more than 2,000 members across the United States, Canada, and Mexico, NASTT is dedicated to promoting better and more responsible ways to manage our underground infrastructure. Trenchless technology is a progressive civil engineering process that enables the installation, replacement, or renewal of underground utilities with minimal excavation and surface disruption.

This innovative approach has proven successful for water mains, sewers, gas mains, electrical and fiber optics conduits, and more. The use of trenchless techniques in urban areas offers substantial benefits like reduced disruption to traffic, businesses, residential areas, and environmentally sensitive areas. NASTT's mission is to advance trenchless technology and raise awareness of its benefits through technical information dissemination, research, education, and training.

The society provides a representative voice for all sectors of the industry and organizes non-commercial information seminars and training sessions for North American communities. With recent advancements in robotics, trenchless technologies now offer pipe condition diagnostics, allowing utility owners to accurately identify infrastructure priorities. As NASTT continues to grow and meet new challenges, it proudly serves and supports a diverse range of industry partners, including municipalities, public utilities, consultants, manufacturers, trenchless contractors, engineers, and academia.

Through its 12 Regional Chapters and 18 Student Chapters, NASTT shares the latest trenchless advancements and provides continuing education opportunities to its communities. Join NASTT and become part of a community that is committed to finding innovative and cost-effective solutions for today's infrastructure challenges
