NatureKids BC is a nature discovery and environmental action organization dedicated to helping children develop meaningful connections with nature alongside their families. Our mission is to encourage BC children to explore, play, learn about, and take action for nature, while our vision is to create a healthy and sustainable future by engaging every child and their family with the wonders of the natural world. Powered by passionate volunteers, members, and donors, NatureKids BC engages young families in exploring the diverse ecosystems of British Columbia through nature clubs located throughout the province.

We make it easy for families to get outside by offering Explorer Days, NatureWILD Magazine, Citizenship Science and Stewardship initiatives, and Awards programs. Our aim is to introduce kids aged 5-12 and their families to the great outdoors, inspiring a love for nature and encouraging them to become the next generation of environmental stewards. We believe that spending time in nature is crucial for children's physical and mental health, and that a connection with nature makes them happier, healthier, and smarter.

In a time where kids are spending less and less time in nature, our organization works to instill a love for the natural world in young children through meaningful experiences with their families. Since our formation in 2000, NatureKids BC has grown from one club to nearly thirty clubs, providing regular opportunities for families to explore, play, learn about, and take action for nature where they live.
