About
Description
NAWIC is the leading association for women in construction, dedicated to strengthening and amplifying the success of women in the industry. Founded in 1953 as Women in Construction of Fort Worth, Texas, it was created by sixteen women who recognized the need for a support network in the male-dominated field. In 1955, it gained its national charter and officially became the National Association of Women in Construction.
With over 115 chapters across the United States, NAWIC offers its members numerous opportunities for professional development, education, networking, leadership training, and public service. The association's core purpose is to advocate for the value and impact of women builders, professionals, and tradeswomen in all aspects of the construction industry. NAWIC's mission is to champion women and provide them with education, community, and advocacy.
Whether it's through prestigious awards, partnerships with global organizations, or sponsorship opportunities, NAWIC is committed to empowering women in construction and shaping the industry's direction
