North County Veterans Stand Down (NCVSD) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving all veterans and their families. Based in Vista, California, NCVSD hosts a four-day event that provides much-needed services in a safe, friendly, drug-free, and secure environment. Through this event, veterans have access to a wide range of resources and support to help them become self-sustaining members of society.

At NCVSD, volunteers are at the heart of everything they do. From board members to one-day helpers, the organization is powered by dedicated individuals who want to make a difference in the lives of those who have served. They offer various volunteer opportunities, such as shuttle drivers, pet zone helpers, clothes sorters, and registration aides.

Over the years, NCVSD has achieved significant impact. They have served numerous veterans and their families, with 100 veterans finding permanent housing through their programs. NCVSD also provides on-site eye exams and distributes eyeglasses, forgives court fines for infractions, and offers free dental work through partnerships with organizations and businesses.
