New England Science & Sailing Foundation (NESS) is an ocean adventure nonprofit organization located in Stonington, CT. Our mission is to empower students with a love of learning through ocean-based experiential programs. We are proud to be the first and only program of its kind accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).

At NESS, we offer a unique education model that combines marine science, sailing, powerboating, and adventure sports to engage and inspire students. Our STEM-based curriculum fosters leadership, teamwork, confidence, and problem-solving skills, ensuring academic success for K-12 students from all backgrounds in both urban and suburban areas. NESS provides a range of programs and services, including summer programs that combine on-the-water and in-the-classroom lessons to ignite curiosity and encourage students to step out of their comfort zones.
