Nonox is a pioneering technology brand that focuses on the development of gas engines with superior environmental and fuel economy properties. Established in 1996, Nonox has since obtained worldwide patented technology, enabling them to apply their innovative solutions to natural gas, diesel, and petrol engines. Notably, Nonox played a significant role in the creation and implementation of 100% electric city buses in the European market, co-founding EBUSCO BV, an electric bus producer.

With a robust technical department, Nonox collaborated with Chinese partners to produce city buses compliant with European standards. Their breakthrough came at the IAA 2012 exhibition, where they showcased a MAN-based city bus powered by a 210 kW Nonox gas engine and fueled by LNG, as well as a 100% electric battery city bus from EBUSCO BV. Inspired by their expertise in both combustion engine drivelines and electric drivelines, Nonox is exploring hybrid driveline configurations for heavy-duty trucks, aiming to extend their range by utilizing powerful Nonox gas engines and enabling pure electric driving in urban areas up to 100 km.
